Sources & Citations Policy

Citations help readers inspect source context; the presence of a source alone does not establish accuracy.

Identify what a source supports

Sources may include provider websites, independent publications, technical documentation, consumer resources, and government information. Identify their actual relationship to the claim.

Provider-owned sources explain their own features, warranties, coverage, and terms. They are not independent evidence of satisfaction or installation quality.

Keep attribution traceable

Inline links should match the recorded citation. Evidence identifiers pointing only to an AI response should not be presented as external verification.

Sources can change, disappear, or fail to support a claim. Report incorrect links with the article URL and a current source. Source corrections should not disguise study limitations.
